ABOUT THE PRODUCT

Applications

Used to position and hold parts for assembly, maintenance and general bench work.

Assembly and maintenance

A steel bench vice is used to position parts before assembly and keep them in place during maintenance. It supports bench work such as hand filing, deburring and preparation for joining parts. Consider both the operation and the geometry of the workpiece when choosing a model.

A model that fits your workspace

When comparing the 100, 125, 150 and 175 mm models, consider the available space on your bench. Allow room to turn the handle, reach the workpiece with tools and align the mounting holes with the bench. A larger model is not necessary for every task; base your choice on the parts you regularly handle.

Routine and repeated tasks

When working with similar parts, checking positioning and access before starting makes preparation easier. Make sure the workpiece is properly seated in the jaws, and provide additional support for long or unbalanced parts when needed. For unusual shapes, share the part dimensions with us to discuss a suitable holding arrangement.

Installation and daily maintenance

Secure the vice to a sturdy work surface using suitable fasteners. Before use, check the mounting, jaw cleanliness and grip on the workpiece. Remove chips and debris with a suitable brush, and follow the product's lubrication instructions when maintaining moving surfaces.

Do not extend the handle with a pipe to increase force. Use the product only for its intended purpose. If you notice damage to the body, jaws or screw, have it checked before further use.

Choosing your vice

Consider the bench dimensions and mounting points, the size of the workpiece and the required working clearance.

The millimetre value in the model name does not, by itself, specify the maximum jaw opening. Please confirm the jaw opening, weight and mounting dimensions of your chosen model.
